gw cant connect anymore :(, getting sick of it
I got this issue again, a couple of months ago i had the same issue that gw keeps connecting after entering my password and i press logg in. The game works fine on other pc, but that pc is too slow to run gw fine, so i want to play on that other good pc, but there it wont connect anymore. I have been playing it 3 days ago the whole midday, but after dinner it couldnt connect. After waiting for around 15 minutes i get error 58.
For the record both pc's are connected too the same router, with ip 10.0.0.153 and the other with 10.0.0.151. It cant be a port problem, coz it works on other pc and ports are open. Firewall is off on both pc's. ow and i said again, coz i had it a couple of months ago and i contacted anet about it, but they couldnt do anything about it and after a few weeks it ran again, but i want to play now, coz i got exams and many free time because of that. (well i know i should study, but gw is nicer) Edit: didnt really know were to post this, if this was technician cornor or game bugs, sorry for that, if it is in wrong forum can an admin move my topic? sorry forgot to mention that both pc use windows xp home sp2, i didnt install any new things before the problem occur so that cant be it either.

Can you run a -diag switch on the end of your guild wars shortcut for the computer that can't connect, and post it up here? Also, do you have mac filtering enabled on the router, and maybe forgot to add this computer's mac address to the list? What other security programs are running in the background (zone alarm, norton internet security, etc.)?

Looks pretty good actually. I notice it looks like your connecting through a private network address and class A subnet. Have you tried installing IPv6 (tcp/ip version 6)? Also, is there any software firewall programs or antivirus programs blocking the guild wars game client?

tcp/ip version 6 isn't usually automatically installed, it's definitely not on your system now, otherwise you would see IP addresses for microsoft tun miniport adapter. You could go into your connection properties and click install, then protocol, and tcp/ip version 6. At the command prompt when you type in ipconfig /all you'll see different tunneling addresses assigned.

Maybe in this particular case it would be good to try using port triggering or port forwarding on the router. Unless you have tried that already and it doesn't help.

Port forwarding doesnt help, i just try a reinstall, maybe that helps, i deleted all registery items of gw with a programm, if this doesnt help i just gonna reset modem and router and reinstall windows

Just googled what dmz is, not sure how i could set that up, but could be an option

Hmm, ok, that's kind of strange behavior, maybe it's adjusting itself to operating outside the router then. When using DMZ that particular computer will be exposed slightly, so you might want to load up some antivirus or software firewall apps, and configure them.

i didnt used dmz, just a reinstall and then use the .dat and .exe file of my other pc were gw works fine
